Eligibility Criteria For INDIAN BANK PO

A) Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be either i) a citizen of India or ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) a subject of Bhutan or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Sri Lanka, East Africancountries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika),Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) or (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/ interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the eligibility certificate f rom the Government of India in this regard is submitted.

B) Educational Qualification (as on 01.08.2018)

Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification as such recognized by Central Government.
a. All Educational qualifications, Graduation/ Post Graduation etc. shall be from a University recognized by Government Of India. Technical qualification (BE, B Tech, MBA etc.) shall be from an institution accredited by AICTE/ UGC recognition required wherever applicable.
b. Candidates must possess the qualification as on 01.08.2018
c. The candidates should have proficiency in appropriate computer skills / working
knowledge of application packages used in office automation/ computer environment.

C) Age – (as on 01.08.2018)

Minimum age – 20 years
Maximum age – 30 years

SELECTION PROCESS  For INDIAN BANK PO :
a. Candidates will be selected by Indian Bank through a selection process consisting of an online test (Preliminary and Main Examination) followed by Interview.

b. Candidates who have been scored above the cut off score of the Main examination will be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Indian Bank.

c. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).

The weightage (ratio) of the examination (Preliminary & Main) and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Examination (Preliminary & Main) and Interview.
A candidate should qualify both in the Online Examination (Preliminary and Main)
and Interview and be sufficiently high in the shortlisted merit list for provisional allotment.

The selection process aims at getting candidates who are likely to succeed at various roles in the Bank. The endeavor is to select candidates who are bright, have good communication skills (both oral and written), are dedicated, can work effectively in teams, are passionate about their career goals and who display integrity and a positive attitude.

Any other means / mode of application including those in printed form ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Application once submitted online will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any future examination or selection.

Guidelines for the candidates regarding payment of application fee
Application for registration will be available at our Bank’s website www.indianbank.in between 1.08.2018 and 27.08.2018
Payment of fees is can be made between
1.08.2018 and 27.08.2018. Even if the last date for registration is extended at the discretion of the Bank for reasons whatsoever, the dates for payment of fees will remain unchanged.

The candidates should have a valid email id before applying online. If the candidate does not have a valid email id, he/she should create a new valid email id before applying online.
